Feathery by Tim Holtz

I die cut the feathers from the Tim Holtz Feathery set. I used some Distress Stain sprays, ran them through the 3D industrious embossing folder and then used the all-new Mica sprays that have just come out for Halloween 2022. I am really inspired at the moment by all the new releases.

I haven't added anything to my blog in so long, I am not even sure I know how to !! Jokes aside, I have tried to have a dedicated website just for  Stampin but keep coming back to my 'old' blog. It's been around for so long, that it would be a shame not to continue with this.

I have been doing various things over the last couple of years, more recently I have started drawing and painting again. However when creativity is lacking or time, I always come back to making cards.

This week I have felt the need to try something different to Stampin up products, I used some of my other stash that I have had for some time and I loved how they turned out,

This card was made with Paperartsy stencils and stamps and inspired by Tracy Scott. The background is done in Tim Holtz distress inks. I love this colour combination and will definitely do some more.

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge - DAY 1

I am doing a 30 day Christmas Card Making Challenge. This is being run by Martin. Its a brilliant idea really as I really enjoy making Christmas cards.

I put this card together late last night when I had a free moment. The products I used here are all from StampinUp . I am loving this snow flake die set, it is so pretty. I can see I am going to be making more of these . I Just need to get some more glitter paper though.

This is my take for Day 1 : Winter Winds

I am back ...

It sure has been a very long time since I posted here on my blog. I have been wanting to get back to sharing this wonderful hobby. Thought of starting a new blog , and then decided there was no point starting from scratch.
I may have been absent from the blogging world, but not from crafting.
Recently I have also been trying my hand at acrylic painting, which I absolutely love. I will share some of my paintings too.
Some creative mess to entice you ... Happy Sunday All

We used the reason to smile stamp set, in 3 hours we made a beautiful box to hold cards, we decorated this with a 'grungy flower' made with the Blossom Punch, and we also managed to make two lovely cards.

Simply Scored ...

I am so glad I ordered the Simply Scored Tool and the diagonal plate to go with it. It is so easy to make a beautiful envelope to match your card with the diagonal plate. Some instructions are provided with the plate to get you started. The plate can also be used to create an embossed background as I did in these examples. Here I scored at 1 Inch intervals to create the " diamond " background.
