I think it works. You can still see the photo and her eyes really pop out.
That is such a beautiful photo Bee! Even though there are so many wonderful things on the LO, the photo is still the focal point, so, yes! It works!
The photo is still the focal point of the page so I agree it works... but maybe try grouping the layers into one corner of the photo to use them to draw the eye?
